Dragons

when she brought the hilt forward reptan dodged backwards, "yes, i heard it too" he looked to viper what was it? he asked, santanis came the reply. he thought for a moment then looked back to mistress, "keep going" he said and without warning, arced his sword from his side at mistresses head.

Mistress reacted through instinct, blocking the blow with equal force. She tried to parry, but couldn't unlock her sword without open a gap, so she ducked low. The moment pressure was off Reptan's sword there was a breif opening quickly closed as Mistress jumped about 2 feet off the ground. She twisted the sword to bring the point towards Reptan's throat.

reptan reacted quickly, he batted the point away leaving an opening, he wanted to see how good she was so he swung the the wooden sword across horizontally at mistresses open side. if she blocked it then she was better than he had thought, if not shed have quite a bruise.

Mistress saw straight away the swinging sword. Lightning fast, she considered blocking it, but she didn't think she was strong enough. Instead she called upon her strenght for an aerodinamic feat. She backflipped over Reptan's head, curled up and leaving no openings. As she landed, she saw a perfect opening, but there was a rule she knew she would never break. Never attack someone's back for cowardice. She decided to move into a ready stance and wait for him to turn around, as quick as elves do.

*He's good, he's Fayts dragon, and Fayt is the leader of the riders.*
Shay watched silently, before noticing Mistress' anxiety about the dragon, Santanis.
"It's okay. Santanis is Fayt's dragon. He's leader of the training facility. Older riders, like Veloce, Reptan and I come here to train, whereas younger riders, like you, come here to learn." She explained. Fafnir transmitted the same message to Bjartskular within seconds.
"I'm gonna see where the urgals are." Shay declared. She clambered onto Fafnir and he took off. He beat his wings closer to the Spine, and turned. Shay gasped, nearly falling off Fafnir. There were millions of Urgals, battalions and battalions of them. She gaped at the amount, and saw a white flag waving in their midst. She flew closer for a better look. It was a sign of friendship.
She landed not too far from the falls, where a Kull stood. He was massive, wearing thick leather armour from which iron spikes protuded. He pounded his chest with a fist ruck ruck ruck... He laughed at her. She stayed on Fafnir.
"Yes?" She asked suspiciously.
"You are the one they called Redblade of the Trinity. Where is Greenblade and Blueblade?" He asked. His voice was nasty and grating.
"What?!" Shay asked. It seemed familiar in a strange way. The Kull laughed again.
"I am Kimblar Bloodbringer. We do not want a war with the Trinity." He said. Shay was becoming frustrated.
"What is the Trinity?" She asked fiercely.

reptan was too skilled to be beaten by that, he had already sidestepped and was out of range for any sort of blow. he turned around with a smile "very good, you have natural ability for swordplay and i underestimated you, but you still have a way to go before your of a good enough level" he bowed to her then turned away and walked for the training grounds, laying down his wooden sword and drawing his real green blade, he found an elf close to his level for training.

Mistress layed down her wooden weapon and walked over to Bjartskular, This should be intresting, watch it. I want to know where Shay's gone. I wish you were strong enough to ride now, but you won't be for a few weeks. Mistress said. She kissed her dragon lightly. Bjartskular, never mind. Do you think you could fly yet? As soon as Reptan's finished with his that elf, do you think you could fly to see if the urgals are back yet? Bjartskular pretended to consider it.
I'll go now. With that he spread his wings and took off vertically as if he were a pro. Mistress just worried about his landing.
Bjartskular flew high, almost scared but exhilarated. He then saw something to make him roar. Urgals, loads of urgals and Shay in the middle of them. He wondered what they were doing, but he first needed to report to his Mistress. He didn't think of mind contact until he was coming into land beside her.
"Bjartskular, don't land like that!" It was too late. He had landed on his side, knocking Mistress over. She was breathless with laughter and tears streaking down her face. "That was the stupidest landing I've ever seen!"

reptan muttered a spell and his sword was coated in invisible layer making the sword blunt. he bowed to his opponent and raised his sword diagonally in front of him, the opponent bowed back and raised his sword above his head. the opponent struck first bringing a hard blow down at reptan, he quickly moved his sword up and slightly to the left then quickly to the right as the other mans blade came down, batting it to the side. reptan used the time to stab at his opponents shoulder. his opponent dodged sideways and regained controll of his own sword, it was all happening at an amazing speed that a human wouldn't be able to follow. the man swung the sword at reptans throat and he took at quick step back, slashing the sword vertically to keep his opponent back, he kept the sword moving but when it reached the top of its arc he curved it sideways and across at the opponent. the opponent had to think fast and blocked the sword, they wer soon both in a frenzy of clashing and weaving in and out of each other, drawing closer and then moving away again, like a dance.

reptan put the sword in his left hand and hacked downwards diagonally to the left, the man ducked leaving reptans sword wideout, the man lunged for reptans exposed chest. swinging his right arm up, reptan used the back of his hand to bat the adversaries sword to his right and quickly threw a punch with the same hand at the middle of the opponents ribcage. it was a hard punch and knocked the other elf back a few paces without him touching the floor. before the other man could regroup he swung his leg the side of the mans knee sending him crashing to the floor and his sword flying from his hand. reptan still crouched from the sweep finally brought his sword the mans throat. they both stood upright and bowed to each other, before removing the charms from the swords and putting them in their sheathes.

Bjartskular stood brushing his silver scales. Mistress leaned on him and was disappointed when the fight ended. Because of the speed of eleves, every fight ended too quickly, in Mistress' opinion. She was however impressed at the improvisation Reptan had used. Bjartskular, did you watch that? I will someday learn to move like that. And you will learn to land properly. I think Reptan's the best fighter ever! If I'm ever half as good, I'll be a famous great rider. thought Mistress, forgetting to block the conversation from wandering minds.

reptan stood for a moment, his black hair blowing gently across his face, he couldn't decide what to do next fly? suggested viper, he turned to her and grinned read my mind he said and climbed on her back. they set off and flew off into the air, around the town in a circle to watch out for urgal sneak attacks then off away from it. they found a plain, and a shocking sight, masses upon masses of urgals and a few regiments of kull, huge things, many 8ft and broad, formidable opponents that could kill oxen with their bare hands. also he saw a large red dragon, fafnir and on his back shay, talking to a kull. many of the urgals looked up at him and viper as they swooped down next to fafnir and shay. he kept a hand near his shuriken ready to hurl into an urgals skull, not that it would do much difference now, magic and fire would be the only usefull tools to escape. "what is this?" he asked from the kull

Ammy landed next to Reptan and Viper.There were urgals an kull everywhere. Warily, her hand drifted down to her knife, ready to fight back if any of the urgals or kulls decided to attack her. Ammy looked around, surveying the scene. Whats happened here?she asked Reptan.

Oh, my. I do believe we get left behind often due to my lack of flying. Bjartskular said, as if sorry for something. "Don't worry. We'll wait here and see if they come back. It'll give you a chance to practice flying." Mistress said, almost care-free. Bjartskular abruptly took of vertically and tried to land. He was still rubbish.

"i don't know but they havn't attacked" he said, his mind flashed back to the 3 riders and 3 dragons all stood together, swords raised high, red, blue, green. "its familiar..." he said wondering, then his mind snapped back to the present, he didn't want to be caught off his guard.
