Nymph royalty

Bearberry turned beetroot red and smiled.
"Er...ok," he squeaked. He calmed down and coughed. "Do you want to...?"

Ashe laughed slightly.
"Do I want to what?" She asked playfully. She smiled and tilted her head to one side curiously like a puppy.

"Have a relationship with me," he said.

Ashe smiled.
"That of course, is up to you. I mean, I would like it. But only if the man involved wasn't pressured or doing it out of pity." She declared.

"O no, I don't feel pressured and I'm not doing it out pity," he said.

"So what you're saying is... 'I like you and want to have a relationship with you'?" She gathered from her findings. Ashe wasn't stupid.

Bearberry laughed nervously and nodded. He hoped she didn't turn him down.

"What do you think I'm going to say, butthead? Of course!" Ashe smiled. She instantly hugged him.

Fickle turned around as he heard Ashe shout. His hair went back to normal and he watched in confusion.
"Hey why are they hugging?" he asked. "...Blurgh, I wouldn't let a girl hug me!"
Fickle had a thing with physic contact. He was a proper boyish boy.

"You look alright with your hair in flames. Goes with the name 'firefly'. Still, I wouldn't choose the name of something that lights up it's but. Anyway. Ashe has liked Bearberry for ages. It doesn't surprise me. I kinda do feel a bit gross watching them hug. I mean, it's just something you shouldn't do in full view of your friends." Linnac agreed happily. Her hair vines turned hazel. "What am I going to do with this if I can't get my hair back? I'm going to look a right idiot." She blushed. Linnac was feeling a bit dizzy. She figured the vines had a strange perfume, but it smelt lovely. "Who are you? More to the point, who am I?"

"Oh, right I never noticed....hold on Eh?" Fickle said pulling a face. "You're Linnac...and it's easy to get rid of the vines, just make them stop. Think 'stop vines, I want my pretty hair back'."

He smiled sincerely.

"Who's vines? Is she a friend of mine? Did she cut my hair off?" Linnac really had no clue.

*I'm prolonging the confusion. She'll get her memory back. It's just fun.*

"Do I have pretty hair?"

Fickle stared at Linnac as if she was an idiot.

"Er um well...yeah it's like shiney which is good and er...I like the colour," he said looking away.

Suddenly the vines disappeared. "What did you say?" Linnac was shocked. Fickle had aavoided all terms of affection until now.

*We should change the name to 'strange romances which will eventually be superheroes'*

Fickle scowled.
"Why do you look like you've just been slapped with a fish?" He snapped. "It IS nice...what's wrong with sayin' that?"

"Er... Well. Lets get started on our disguises." Linnac said, changing the subject. "Bearberry, Ashe! Come on! We've got work to do!"

Bearberry looked up and flew up to Linnac and Fickle.

"Hmmmm," Fickle said. "Well we don't really know what they wear..."

He pondered for a minute.
"Oh I know!" he said suddenly, hair flickering to fire for a split second. "Why don't we go to one of those places where they have lots of books. A...a...library!"

"We'll get noticed! We aren't exactly wearing human casual clothes." Linnac was right. She was dressed in silk and thorny stems were twirled elboately around her limbs. "I do however know that if we add a bit more colour to our garments, we'd look like we're going to a party."

Fickle looked down at his fire-red long sleeved shirt and black shorts.

"Hmm, I dunno it's not that bad...but okay, my knee's are cold anyway," he said messing with his collar.

"I don't know about mine," said Bearberry. His outfit was just a plain brown tunic. He didn't know if he could add colour to it.

"We-ell... we could just go buy some stuff. Rob a bank, that sort of thing. Hey, I seen it in the movies!" Ashe flew upside down, staring at the others and shrugging.

"But that's wrong!" objected Bearberry. "That's stealing and heroes do not steal!"

"Well...we are royalty...it's not like we're poor. I have ruby buttons after all, if we take them off my shirt, then we can sell them," he grinned happy that he'd got the solution. "Only thing is, I'll need a new top, and I like this - but still, it'll be fun to get outfits!"

"Come off it. We'll attract stares. Lets wear veils, then go to a shop. The boys can wear those turbanish things that they wear in the desert." She grinned, she liked the idea. She had some material in her bag and a sewing kit. She could easily make some headwear. For new disguies, Linnac would need more material.
