The Lynx Warriors

Nukpana mad her way back at her own pace wich was qite alot slower then hinto and Sanyu.

The other tribes were coming onto their lands in their boats. People from their tribe came to greet them.

Sanyu hung back. The other tribes were honest enough, but she just didn't trust them enough to go to them.

Nukpana went to hinto and smild to the tribs peple and gester for sanyu to come over

Sanyu skipped to Nukpana. She trusted the outcast more than the tribespeople.

Hinto's family went to greet their cousins, who were from the Arapaho.
"Got to go, see you later," Hinto said before going with his family.

"ok" Nukpana smiled and wondrd what to do now, her famly wasnt the most like of the tribe.

Hinto met and greeted his cousins. They then walked off to their tipi.
"So you're going to try out for the Lynx Warriors too, Hinto?" asked Adsila, one of his female cousins. Hinto had two female cousins and three male cousins. Two were going to try out for the Lynx Warriors. Hinto nodded.

Nukpana went to fiind hinto, she was bored and wanted to talk with someone.

"I have no...uh oh..." Sanyu began. She shrank away as her cousin, Chua as he strode around, smirking and boastful. She frowned as he saw her.
"Well well well, if it isn't my little dirtface of a cousin!" He sneered.

Hinto was feeling nervous about the Ceremony. All the tribes would be there and if he made one mistake then he'd be humiliated.

Nukpana herd sanyu cosion and shuderd, she dove behind the nerest tipi

"Why are you here Chua?" Sanyu asked. She was bored of his teasing, boastful personality.
"I'm trying out for the Warriors. Didn't get in last time." Chua replied. He was two years older than Sanyu.

Hinto, his sisters and cousins walked about the camp while their parents talked in the tipi.

Nukpana saw hnto and ran to his side and smild at his re aperance

Hinto's family had learned to accept Nukpana.
"Wingapo Nukpana!" he said. "Adsila and Chogan are going to try for the Warriors too."

"wingapo" she replyd politly "im going aswell, my mother enterd me" she smiled "aprntly the chiff owed her for somthing" she sruged.

Sanyu was oblivious to her friends, as she was stuck in a conversation with her hated cousin. He smirked.
"How about a battle of courage? You use your knife, I'll mine. Go on. I dare you." He said, knowing that she wouldn't back down. Sanyu gulped, but pulled her flint knife from her belt. Chua smiled. He pulled a larger knife out.

"That is...interesting and strange," said Adsila, puzzled. She then shrugged it off. "Mother and nha i *aunt* entered us. Said that we would bring honour to the family."

Looking on she saw Chua was still tomting sanyu, she had to help her and wonderd over. most outsider was afride of her as rumers had been spreed, she hope he would be too. takiong a brether she walk over.

"wingapo Sanyu, Chua"

Sanyu glanced at Chua.
"Not here. Go to the forest. Come." She muttered. She lead the way to a small clearing, named Chochokpi(throne for the elders).

One of the Tribe men noticed Sanyu and Chua. Chua was known for his boastfulness and bullying nature. The horn sounded again. Time for the Ceremony.

"Later little dirtface, later. After I thrash you in the Ceremony!" Chua barked with laughter. Sanyu growled and ran back to Hinto. She gripped his arm angrily and eagerly.

The people gathered at the Sparkling Stone Totems. Hinto felt Sanyu's tight grip.
"Come, don't worry. You'll be fine and don't worry about your cousin," said Hinto. He then led to the front of the now assembling audience.

There were loads of people at the ceromony from all differemnt clans. Sequoyah was one of them. She sat on the grass, fiddling with a loose grass thread on her jerkin, waiting patiently yet full of eagerness, for the ceromony to start.
