Clino stayed with his pride.
"Come, we must find shelter!" he yelled.

The fire was spreding rapdly and soon they were soranded. "up, go up" Sauda shoted and clamber up the rock face

Clino followed Saudra up the hill.
"Rayne c'mon!" he yelled.

Rayne watched the fire building up. It flickered around her, touching her fur, tasting her. It licked her face, singing her whiskers. She yelped, and frantically searched for Sauda and Clino.
"Don't be frightened!" The fire called to her enticingly. But Rayne was frightened. She was terrified.

Sauda let out an all migty roar to Rayne, she turnn shaply rond and tugd at the lioness scruf. "come on!" she groled as the rocks were sliping from under there feet,

Clino roared so that Rayne could hear him too. He followed Sauda.

Rayne snapped out her trance and ran as fast as she could from the fire. She could hear her paws pounding on the hard ground. She came to a sliding stop at Clinos feet.

The fire was coming closer, black smoke chock the sorading trees and once cler sky

Clino searched desperately for a way out. He started to cough and splutter. His eyes started to water too. There was a path untouched by the fire.
"This way!" he yelled hoarsely.

sauda ran along with rayne, the fire was dying but the smoke was still thick

We're gonna die...we're gonna die...
The thought came to Rayne over and over again, pounding in her ears with the three lions footsteps and the crackling of the fires racing after them.

soon they came to the top of the rock face, all that could be seen below was blackness

Clino saw the blackness and felt sad.
"What do we do now?" he asked.

Looking arond Sauda saw a part of grond that was clear, the river block it from spreding so far.

"If we make it to the river we leve" she panted

Rayne ran as fast as she could to the river. Her legs were wet and sticky with sweat.

Sauda jump into the water but they were still in danger, the river was wide and they all were tire as it was. To make thing wors the drought had dryd most of it up so it was manly mud.

Wyver was weak.She had just escaped the fire and was covered in mud from crossing the river a couple of hours ago.She tryed to get up,but couldn't.She was lying on her side.

Rayne sniffed the air once she had got her breath back.
"Cub." She growled.

Sauda looked around and crouched down in the grass she spoted something and inched forward to the fluffy body.
It was a cub, she looked around for a mother sent but senced none.
Sauda gave it a lick and a nudge in the side and gave a call to Ryne to come over.
"It is a cub, bearly a few months old by the look of it"

Wyver coughed."Help.Too...weak...can't...move.-cough-"

*I was wondering where he was!*
Rayne crouched by the white cub, and nudged it.
"Can you get on my back?" She asked softly, glancing at Sauda worriedly.

Sauda gave it a slightly harder nudge in the side, from the coughing it seem to have something stuck in its throut.

Wyver eventually coughedup the load of mud that was in her throat(from going across,it's a bit deep!)She just managed to roll over onto her front but even that was tiring.

Without thinking Sauda went and picked the cub up by its scruff, she didn't know why it just seem like the thing to do.
"I can carry you" she said between the fur. "if you want"
