Wild Lion Savana

"What you were born a loner? Me no think so." Rayne didn't pry though, and instead snapped at a bird in the tree, but it evaded her easily. There was a rotting carcass in the tree, probably left days before by a leopard.

"It's true," he said. "I'll leave if you want me to." He started to walk away.

"no, you dont have to say" she grold "your a loner" she walk out into the sun and yawnd showing a sharp set of teeth.

"we cant travel now, it too hot"

Rayne leapt, and dragged the maggotty carcass down.
"Grubs up!" She smiled.

"dont eat that" she rold "it make you ill, i must been up there for days in the sun"

"We need to find fresh meat," Clino said. "We need to get out of this desert!"

"Look-it's food. Food is food." Rayne began to tear at the riddled flesh, bloodless yet moist.

"dont" Sauda grold "why do you think the lepord left it?" she lay down and look out as the sun went down.

"'Cause it wasn't hungry? Anyway the maggots flavour it." Rayne smiled.

Clino looked away.
"We'll rest here for tonight and then leave tomorrow, at sunrise," said Clino.

Rayne leapt into the tree and lay down. She looked down on the other two. The meat had left moisture on her tongue, and she savoured it.

night came quicly and the teprtur drop sudly, saudra got up and called to the ohers "we leve now"

Rayne fell out of the tree.
"Whoops...sorry..." She muttered.

Clino nodded.
"Alright. Let's move!" He moved quickly.

Rayne loped behind the others, because if there was a chance of hunting, she didn't want to scare the prey away.

"most have moved on" she muterd "we might cach some older prey"

"Still...I'm no use...sorry..." Rayne whispered.

"come on" saudra ran on into te darkness as she smelt food

soon the overpowing smell of blood came acros her, and in front was zebra. It must of falen behind its herd. It was dead but fresh.

"Is it alive?" Rayne asked. She crept closer to the bigger lion and lioness.

Sauda snife the carcass and shook her head "no" and look arond for any scavegers before taking a bite.

Rayne stepped back respectively for Clino. She had learned the hard way that males always got the first meal, if they wanted it. And Clino had the beginnings of a large mane. That meant he would be dominant. She didn't want to anger another bigger lion, like Yndri. Her last male.
Instead, she lay down on her paws.

Clino bowed in response and then began eating.
"We're not a pride are we?"

"No... but as the male, you have more authority than I. You can throw me out of our makeshift pride for as long as I live." Rayne smiled slightly.
