Into the Abyss

Gabe smiled and shrugged.
"I guess so," he said. He looked at the mercury and then back at Faith. "Shall we go in?"

"Go in?" Faith almost yelled. She thought a moment. There was nothing in this world if Gabriel left her alone.
"Yeah, let's rock this joint!" She decided, smiling.

Gabe smiled, took Faith's hand and put it on his handle. He then wheeled into the mercury.

As they went in, there was a roaring sound, filling their ears.
They were in absolute darkness, and shadows filled the place. As Faith stepped forwards, a bright, featureless figure appeared before them.
Welcome to the land of dreams. Do you have...requests? The figures voice echoed.
**This is a sort of middle-world at the moment.**

Gabriel looked at the figure, confused.
"Land of dreams?" he asked. "And what do you mean by 'requests?'"

In the land of dreams anything could happen. You can request two items to help you on your journey. A physical change, and a weapon. Choose... The shadowy figure said.

"Journey?" Gabe asked. "Whoa, hey we didn't come here to go on a quest! Besides, I dunno."

Faith gasped as three podiums appeared.
On one, were a pair of white, angel-like wings, and a silvery metallic blue bow and arrows.
On another was a transparent cape, and a long thin sword, coloured ebony.
On the last was a butterfly, with emphasized wings, and a dagger.

Gabriel looked up at Faith and then at the three podiums. His eyes caught the butterfly wings and dagger.
"I'll choose that one," he said, pointing to the butterfly wings and dagger.

"Then I choose this one..." Faith said. She walked to the white wings. As she touched them, pain exploded up her back. She turned, as blood-covered white wings extended from her back.

Gabriel rose from his wheelchair. Pain came and soon the butterfly were there, covered wth blood. They fliuttered.
"What's happened?" he asked the figure.

You have chosen...beware...Dreamscape contains Nightmares also... The woman, for she had a feminine voice, said.

"Dreamscape...Nightmares. So now what do we do?" Gabriel asked. He was flying a little, to get used to the wings.

Stop the abyss...find it...destroy it... The womans voice was faint now, and she slowly flickered like a hologram, before disappearing.

Gabriel was even more confused.
"Wait, I don't understand! What's the abyss?"

"Stupid fairies, always leave out detail!" Faith growled. That was before they were dropped into the nightsky of Dreamscape.

"Where are we now?" he asked. "And do you think that we were meant to find here?"

Faith rubbed a bump on her forehead. She looked around at the peaceful world. In the distance was a fairytale style castle, with a small village around it. It looked strangely normal.
"What do you mean, 'meant' to find here?" She asked Gabe. She lay back, her feathers enveloping her.

"I mean like it was Fate," Gabriel explained.
