Mage Academy

Enki was shocked at what she told him.
"O, I'm so sorry," he said. "I should've been there."

Skye gulped.
"No...you wouldn't want to. My father is a terrible man. So are my brothers." She choked back tears, and succeeded.

Enki looked at her.
"Well you're here now. Safe," he said.

Skye looked away, and smiled, although her face was clouded with fear of the past.
"Yes...I hope..." She whispered.

Enki looked at his friend smiled.
"Don't think about it," he said. "Well, I'd better go and welcome the newbies." And with that, he left for his Colour Sector.

"Hey, Lara, you coming?" Skye asked, leaping to her feet agiley.

Enki came back to the Colour Sector and saw ten new Brown Mages. The Head Brown Mage was introducing them to the Sector.

Lara followed them reluctantly. She needed to finsih her work!
She walked along next to Skye.
"Skye," She said quietly. "I know it's still a long time away, but when summer comes again ... Well, you know I have a big house in the countryside. You're more than welcome to stay there."

" If they'll let me..." Skye sighed, almost wistfully, "It was worse this time. I never expected it."

Lara smiled wickedly.
"Well, they don't where my country house is." She said. "You can just ... y'know, not go home. Come straight with me and don't tell them anything. We can go for Easter and Christmas too, but I dunno if you feel like staying here for them this year."

" It depends. I might stay if Enki is." Skye said, smiling as they entered the Purple Sector main room. Little Purple's were scattered in groups.

Once the Head Brown Mage had finished the introductions, she allowed the new ones to stay within the Sector and meet the old students. One red-haired girl wearing a new Brown Mage uniform came over to Enki.
"Er...excuse me," she said, timidly. Enki looked down, smiled and crouched down.
"Hello," he greeted. She smiled shyly.
"When do we have supper?" she asked.
"In two hours," he said. She didn't look happy. "What's your name?"
"Sela."
"Well, Sela, do you want to come and get a Joonis breadcake with me?" Sela smiled and took his hand. Enki then stood up and went with Sela to the Canteen.
