Heartsong

**Based on the film Happy Feet. We'll start from being babies and then continue tto adulthood. You can either make up your own heartsong or just choose an existing song.

Name: Pitch.
Parents: Amara and Sunny.
Future Heartsong: Believe (made it up)**

Today was the day that the mothers were coming back from their foraging and Pitch was by his father, in between his legs. Sunny was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his wiife. Pitch was just as eager.

"Wives ho!" came a shout. The the stampeding began.

Parents: Forte and Rave
Future heartsong: 'From this Moment' Shania Twain*

Solo saw the other chicks, and got the urge to join them. But her Rave, her father, had told her to stay put, and so she would. Forte, her mother, was coming home now, and she couldn't wait to see her. The others seemed just as excited, but Solo stayed still.

*Of course you can!*

Pitch and Sunny kept together and went to find Amara. The other penguin wives were coming together with their families. Pitch was really excited about meeting his mother.
"Papa!" cried a voice. There stood a beautiful female penguin. She then saw her son. "O Sunny, he's beautiful!"
"Mama!" Pitch said and ran over to her.

Name: Laufeia

Mother/farther Epica/Blue

Future heart song Dead of night-Blind Gurdian or my own song



In the mist of the chaos of the females returning a small egg had been overlooked as it rested in the cover of a snow cavern.
How long it had been laying on the ice was unknown but somehow it had manege to hatch.
The chick was shivering next to its father's body desperately trying to get some kind of warmth but couldn't.
Blue looked down at his little child, unable to understand what was wrong with Laufeia.

Laufeia cried out, wanting to at least hear its mothers responce but just silence,was she alone? and slowly walked over to the rest of the penguins with he father behind.
But something wasn't right with the little chick, she was diffrent...

Soon he spotted Epica and sighed with relief and nudged Laufeia on.
"Mommy?" she called.
The female smiled "hello little Laufeia" and pulled her close.

Blue went to his mate's side and whisperd to her ear, "She's not right, she.." he was cut off.

"I know," was Epica's only reply.

"My little boy!" cried Amara in delight and hugged him. Sunny followed behind. "Sunny!" She went to him and embraced him. They went together for some family time.

Forte and Rave rushed towards each other, and nuzzled each other affectionately. Solo followed her father, and her mother smiled at seeing her.
"Hello Solo." She said, smiling. Solo snuggled into her mothers warm feathers, happy at seeing her. Rave looked around at the others, all with their wives now.

Epica bent down and deliverd a meal to Laufeia before looking into her mates eyes and walked to the other mums with Laufeia sticking close by.

Blue stayed standing untill Epica turned around "please Blue, its not your falt" and moved on untill Laufeia was with another male chick and his perants.
Sighing Blue appered shortly after and begain to talk to the other perants.

Solos parents began to herd her towards the cluster of adults and chicks nearby. Solo huddled against her mother to keep warm. Forte kept her daughter close. She fed her quickly and expertly. This was her second chick. Her first, Clef, was with the young males. He was two years old. Rave glanced at the other parents with their chicks, and tried to urge Solo into socialising. But to no avail. The youngster stayed put.

Laufeia carefuly walk off wile Blue went to talk with another farther and Epica the mother. "Whats did you call yours?" Epica asked on mother looking down to Solo and back up again.

Laufeia felt the rocks and ice under her feet while making her way to a male chick, he smelt nice, she saw a slightly darkend and blurd figure of the penguine and smiled.

Forte smiled at the the mother who had asked a question.
"Solo. She's a little unsociable and quiet, but I'm sure she'll be messing around with the others in no time." She said. She glanced at the other chicks, "What about yours?" She asked.

Epica gave a loving smile to her little chick "her names Laufeia, a little quiet but im sure that solo and her will become friends"
Sighing slightly she looked to her mate whising he felt the same way "dispite her problems Laufeia is happy, she.." Epica was cut short by Blue interupting.

"Hello, my names Blue im Epica husband" and gave his wife a hard glance and looked down to Solo. "Hello little one"

Amara gave her son his first meal and he gulped it down. After, they decided to see their friends. Sunny and Amara were walking with their son towards a group of penguin chicks. Pitch was in awe of the other chicks. He saw a group of female chicks and bounded towards them. Amara and Sunny followed him.
"Hi," he said shyly. "I'm Pitch. Who are you?" The two parents saw their friends and came over to them.
"Epica, Forte!" cried Amara.

"Amara!" Forte cried. She went to greet her friend. Solo looked shyly at Pitch. She wondered who his papa was, as she hadn't seen him before.
"I'm Solo. My Papa is Rave, but he's over there." She pointed to where Rave was with some of his friends.

Amara went to Forte. She looked at her friend's daughter. Sunny went to Rave and some other male penguins.
"O Forte! She's gorgeous!" Amara praised. "What's her name?"
"My Papa's over there," he said, pointing to Sunny.

"Rave!" Sunny cried.

Laufeia looked to the blured figure of the penguins and tried to make her presence known to the others.
She walked over and looked politly befor saying her name.
"h..hi, my names Laufeia" she said to the male she hadn't met yet.

Epica stay with Amara and Forte while Blue relutntly left to go with the other males to talk.

Pitch looked to the other female chick and smiled. He then looked at her eyes. They were slightly glazed over, which must mean that she was partly blind. However, he'd treat her the same.
"Nice to meet you, Laufeia," he said. "I'm Pitch."

**We may have to move it into a few hours after ok?**

Laufeia smiled "Hi Pitch" and looked to Solo excitedly dancing on the spot. "I can't wait to find my HeartSong, my mum said its unique and nobody eles has the same!"

Turning back to Pitch she looked him in the eye and reached out to feel his wing and face then let go feeling slightly embaressed forgeting he may not want to be touched. "I think you will have a extre special HeartSong" she replied happly hoping he didn't mind.

Allthough she was slightly blind Laufeia wasn't aware she was any different as the dark and blured pictures that she saw was all she knew.
Infact she was able to get around much better then her perants could of dream as the dark bodys of the penguins stood out againts the white of the snow

Pitch smiled as Laufeia touched his face and wing. He didn't mind, if Laufeia needed to do that to help her then so be it. When Laufeia mentioned Heatsongs, Pitch became excited too. Amara smiled at Forte and Epica.
"Looks like our children have already made friends!" she said.

"It's so nice to see them getting along." Forte smiled. Rave glanced at his wife and child, before immersing himself in the conversation again.
Solo looked at Laufeia and wondered why she was behaving like this. Then she saw the chicks eyes, unlike those of the others. She felt a pang of pity. When HeartSongs were mentioned, she brightened up.
"I wonder what my heartsong will be like." She said.

Epica called her little chick over "Come on Laufeia its time to get ready for class" she smiled " you learn your heartsong" Hearing that Laufeia ran overtripping up and sliding on her belly to her mothers feet.

"Can Pitch and Solo get ready with me? " she chirped hopping on the spot.
The mother turned to Forte and Rave "they have to ask there perants"
